1. Who we are

Post-Interview Goldmine is operated by BMD Publishing, trading name of Book Marketing Done For You ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for personal data processed through the Service.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data — name, email address, hashed password / login credentials.
  • Content you submit — transcripts and prompts you upload or paste into the Service, and the AI outputs generated from them.
  • Support communications — messages you send to our support team.
  • Usage & telemetry — pages visited, features used, error logs, device and browser identifiers, IP address.
  • Billing data — collected directly by our payment provider Paddle (we receive limited information such as transaction status, country, and last 4 digits).

3. Why we use it (purposes & legal basis)

  • To create and operate your account — contract performance.
  • To provide the Service (process transcripts, generate insights, store your library) — contract performance.
  • To bill, manage subscriptions, and comply with tax & accounting law — contract performance / legal obligation.
  • To secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse — legitimate interests.
  • To improve and debug the product — legitimate interests.
  • To respond to support requests — contract performance / legitimate interests.
  • To send product or marketing emails where you've opted in — consent.

4. Who we share data with

  • Service providers / subprocessors — hosting, database, analytics, error monitoring, customer support, and email delivery providers, under written data-processing terms.
  • AI model providers — transcripts and prompts are sent to large-language-model providers strictly to generate your output. Providers are contractually restricted from using your content to train their models.
  • Merchant of Record (Paddle) — for sale of the product, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing.
  • Professional advisers — lawyers, accountants, and auditors as needed.
  • Authorities — where required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.

5. International transfers

Some of our providers are located outside the UK / EEA. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

6. Retention

We keep account data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle disputes, refunds, and legal obligations. Transcripts and generated outputs are kept until you delete them or close your account, after which they are deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period. Billing records are kept for the period required by tax law.

7. Your rights

Depending on your country, you may have the right to: access your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to processing, port it to another provider, and withdraw consent. EU/UK residents may also lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority. We respond to requests within 1 month.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, and role-based permissions. No system is 100% secure; we will notify you of a breach affecting your data as required by law.

9. Cookies

We use strictly-necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We may also use analytics cookies to understand usage. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings or any in-app cookie preferences offered.
